On this forum, we use a leveling system created by yours truly, Zetsumei Sabishii. At the beginning, as in when you first create your character, you'll be given 20 Stat points to distribute as you wish upon four stats, Strength, Magic, Defense, and Spirit. First off we'll go ahead and dig deeper into what each of these stats do.
Strength: This stat is used to determine the damage of your basic attack as well as physical skills. For every 10 Strength you have, you'll gain an additional 10 HP. You will NOT gain HP as your strength goes up, only for every 10.
Magic: The Magic stat is used for, you guessed it, magic damage. Each magic skill has a base power, you add your magic stat to it to determine its full potential. For example, say you cast Agi, a fire skill. Agi has a base power of 15, and you have a Magic stat of 10, the new skill power would be 25. Also, for every 10 Magic you have, you'll gain an additional 10 SP, works the same was as Strength in this manner.
Defense: Defense is used to determine your resistance to any attacks you receive, whether they be physical or magical. In other words, if you were hit by that Magic attack above, but had say, 8 Defense, you'd only take 17 damage. Gains the same bonus as Strength for every 10 Defense.
Spirit: Spirit is used to determine how much power support skills have. Say you used Dia on someone, Dia has a power of 15. If you had a Spirit of 5, they'd be healed by 20 Points. Defense is not factored for support skills. Gains the same bonus as Magic for every 10 Spirit.
Now that we have that done, I'd like to inform you that you have complete control over your stat growth. Upon creation of your character and or Persona, we'll ask you to choose a Primary, Secondary, Intermediate, and Irrelevant stat.
Primary(P): Your Primary stat is your characters main focus, as such it will increase by 4 every time you level up.
Secondary(S): Your Secondary Stat is your characters side focus, it will increase by 3 every time you level up.
Intermediate(I): This stat is of very little importance to your character, as such it only increases by 2.
Irrelevant(R): This is the stat you care least about, paying little to no attention to at all, it will only increase by 1 every level up.
For any questions regarding the level system, please PM this account and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
